Role Outline - Coordinators
Coordinators lead a team in their respective department. Coordinator roles offer a chance to engage in a leadership role, and we are looking for individuals who are innovative and passionate about creating impact with their team. Coordinators show initiative, have a clear vision, and are exemplars in their dedication and enthusiasm.
Coordinators will have opportunities to attend sponsorship events, develop their networks, and attend undergraduate executive meetings, the latter providing invaluable first-hand learning about the internal workings of a non-profit startup as we strive to best deliver impact in the youth education sector. Though not a strict requirement, it would be advisable to have past leadership experience as coordinator roles are managerial, and draw heavily on thought and creativity.
As coordinators are particularly ‘behind-the-scenes’, the role affords control over its flexibility, with a preserved commitment to ongoing meetings and progress with the YNA board and their respective teams.
Role Outline - Department Roles
Department team members are equally critical, driving YNA through their dedication and creativity. Less managerial and more hands-on, joining either the events, marketing, or resources team is a fantastic way to fast-track action, delivering bigger ideas through smaller, concrete plans, and more directly interacting with university students and high schoolers through your work.
Each department is large to encourage rotations and partnerships to keep motivated. Teamwork and adaptability skills are essential, and roles are more flexible for those tighter on time.
